INSIDE SALES SPECIALIST
Morrison Freight a award winning, independently-owned, freight company specialising in European logistics and road freight solutions. Our growing company is searching for a full time sales executive who wants to improve their skill set, and be part of a highly motivated team based in Great Blakenham.
Job description:
The candidate must have at least 2 years solid telesales experience. They will ideally have some experience within the freight/logistics sector, however it’s not essential as training will be given. The candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills and be able to demonstrate a committed approach to initiating contact with with both new and existing customers. The main objective is to proactively seek opportunities of further growth through new and retained business whilst building stronger foundations.
The role will include:
- Identify and develop new sales leads
- Positive sales activities to generate new business opportunities
- Regular engagement with customers to ensure new and current business is maintained
- Work alongside the BDM manager helping record outcome of sales leads
- Prepare, deliver and follow up quotations and leads
- Work alongside weekly and monthly targets
- Seamlessly passing converted jobs to the operations department
- Prospect new opportunities for the assigned facilities and/or markets leveraging cold calling techniques
- Helping grow new customer and business development portfolio within the assigned customer base collaborate within the sales team to prioritise opportunities based on market capacity demands and profile needs
Key requirements:
- Have good clear communication skills.
- Self-motivated & driven
- Enjoy and thrive on being part of a team
- Ability to generate new leads, form good relationships & effectively close deals
- Good interpersonal & communication skills
- Possess a determined & results orientated attitude
- Understanding of freight rates / quotations would be advantageous, but not essential
- Business to Business (B2B) sales experience
Additional information:
Location: The role will be office based in Great Blakenham, Ipswich, Suffolk
Hours: Monday – Friday 08.30am – 5pm

EUROPEAN FREIGHT FORWARDER
The company
Morrison Freight is a long established, award winning independently owned, freight company specialising in European logistics and road freight solutions. Our growing company is searching for a dynamic European Freight Forwarder who wants to take their career to the next level and be part of a highly motivated team based in Great Blakenham, Suffolk
The candidate will be involved in daily operations within markets such as Germany, Belgium and Netherlands, France, Spain and Italy. They’ll have the freedom to express themselves, have their opinions and ideas listened too, acted upon, and importantly be a valued part of an ever growing team.
Key responsibilities:
- Planning, organising, directing, and help run day-to-day operations
- Increase productivity, whilst minimising unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
- Responsibility for negotiating rates with customers as well as transportation costs of suppliers
- Maintain and improve working relationships with both customers and suppliers
- Drive continuous improvement and optimisation of all processes
- Monitoring transport rates, markets, and looking after the job from start to finish
- Sub-contracting haulage requirements, managing transportation bookings, and quotations
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
- Proven experience of working as a European Freight forwarder via road
- 3+ years’ experience within the European road freight forwarding sector
- Familiarity of the industry and technical expertise
- Knowledge and understanding of rates, customers, and suppliers within the European road freight sector
- Professional approach to both suppliers and customers
- Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
- Additional European language would be advantageous, however is not essential
