We are heading into 2021 as award winners!

January 11, 2021

After a challenging year, we are thrilled to have been awarded High Growth Business of the Year at the East of England Federation of Small Business (FSB) Awards 2020.

The award celebrates businesses in East Anglia that have experienced exceptional growth in sales, profit, market share or employment, alongside a strong plan for sustainable financial performance.

In a year like 2020, which was also when Morrison Freight celebrated their 30th Anniversary, this is a fantastic achievement and provides great encouragement for the team.

Morrison Freight received the news that they were shortlisted in January but due to coronavirus, the awards ceremony in May was cancelled.

Director Lee Steward said: “Winning this award after such a difficult year is such a boost for the team.

“Despite the challenges 2020 has presented, we have remained positive and continued to invest in our staff and promote our services, so to be recognised for our continued growth and success in the industry is incredibly humbling.

What a great way to end the year! In spite of the difficulties we have faced in the hands of the coronavirus pandemic, we are looking forward to kicking off 2021 with positivity and enthusiasm.”

This is the second year in a row that Morrison Freight have been winners at the East of England FSB Awards, after being awarded International Business of the Year in 2019.

This award win means that they will progress to the national final which is due to take place in London in May 2021.

Fellow Director Darren Ryan continued: “Although our 30th Anniversary year didn’t quite go to plan, we could not be prouder of the team for the hard work they have put in throughout 2020.

“Lee and I also celebrated our fifth year as directors in 2020, so this award win is certainly the icing on the cake for us and we’re looking forward to seeing what the next five years bring!”
