Following a difficult year, we are delighted that we are finalists in the Suffolk Business Awards 2020!
The Suffolk Business Awards take place every year with the aim to showcase some of the best talent in the region. The 10 categories include Best Employer, Young Business Person and Large Business – the category that we were finalists in.
The winners were announced on social media on 17 November 2020 and although our name was not called, we’re incredibly proud to have reached the finals in a category which had such tough competition.
Director Lee Steward said: “We are hugely proud of the team for all their support, dedication and hard work during this difficult year.
“Although things have been uncertain at times, our employees have come together and ensured that it remained ‘business as usual’ for all our clients and customers during the pandemic.
“Reaching the final of these awards just proves that we’re a strong team and we are able to overcome any challenges that come our way.”
Last year Morrison Freight won International Business at the Federation of Small Business (FSB) East Anglia Awards and High Growth Business of the Year at the Suffolk Chamber Awards 2019. The team were also shortlisted in two categories in the British International Freight Association (BIFA) Awards.
Fellow Director Darren Ryan said: “This year is our 30th year in business and we have lots to celebrate, despite the difficulties we have faced in the hands of the coronavirus pandemic.
“As Lee said, our team have been fantastic and the awards we have been recognised in over the last few years are testament to this.
“We are confident that we can come out the other side of this difficult period and remain stronger than ever. So here is to the next 30 years!”
